Lit in Colour

More exciting new books to join our ever growing library! 

Mrs Simpson successfully applied for the Lit in Colour primary giveaway and our school has been given 100 Penguin UK books written by authors of colour. The books also contain characters of colour. Included is also a class set of 15 copies of Sharna Jackson’s ‘The Good Turn’. 

It’s vital that the books which we read in our formative years reflect the rich diversity of the society we live in. 

The aim of Lit in Colour is to support schools in the UK to make the teaching and learning of English Literature more inclusive. 

We can’t wait to share these books with our pupils!
