Following on from their earlier success in the year when they qualified from the South Tyneside competition. One of our y6 dodgeball teams were in action at the Tyne and Wear County finals. 

After finishing top of their group with a 100% winning record. They went on to also win the semi final, meaning a place in the final of the County final.

In the final after a level score of 5-5. It was time for 1 minute of extra time. 

The team unfortunately had 1 extra person eliminated than the opposition in extra time, meaning the narrowest of defeats. A really unlucky, gruelling and hard to take way to lose a final, but ultimately the teams should be ultra proud of their performance and achievement. 

To be recognised as one of the top 2 teams in the county is a huge honour and something as a school we are very proud of and the children should be too!!
